WALK WILD FILMS & PODCASTS

In 2026 Outdoor Guide, Photographer and Founder of Walk Wild Ian Finch launches the first series of films from Walk Wild. During this series, Ian explores some of the UK’s quieter and most beautiful walking routes looking to uncover the stories woven into them. Entwined within these journeys, our channel also creates original films and walking discussions that uncover the deeper stories of our connection to the natural landscape, featuring voices of those who have truly connected with nature and have something meaningful, and often magical, to share.

We also feature podcast episodes where Walk Wild Founder, Ian Finch, shares stories of walking in wild places, but equally about listening to the land, to its history and to perhaps, oursleves

Olivia Sprinkel - To Hear The Trees Speak - A film by Walk Wild - released May 2026

"To Hear The Trees Speak" is a short cinematic memoir from filmmaker Ian Finch ( Founder, Walk Wild ) and writer Olivia Sprinkel, based on her journey across the world to uncover the wisdom held within 10 trees. From the echoes of childhood forests to ancient landscapes stretching from India to Ecuador, this short poetic documentary explores her relationship with nature, memory, healing, and belonging. "To Hear The Trees Speak" invites viewers to consider the importance of the invisible bond between people and nature. This is more than a film about trees, it’s a journey into connection, spirituality, travel and ecology.

Ian Finch features on the Wild Words Podcast - July 2026

This episode follows a journey Ian made in early July 2026, crossing Scotland on foot from Morvich to Inverness. The route passes through one of the last remnants of the ancient Caledonian pine forest, a landscape that is slowly and carefully being restored, one day at a time.

What makes this podcast a little different is its old school approach to storytelling. Just one microphone, a story, and some of the sounds of the journey woven throughout. No distractions, no high studio polish, just a raw, heartfelt memoir carried by footsteps, weather and wild places.
