Just 35 minutes from central London by train (Met Line), this 11-mile guided walk takes you through some of the most scenic countryside in the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Starting in the charming village of Chorleywood, our journey begins across the peaceful open meadows of Chorleywood Common before winding down to the crystal-clear chalk waters of the Chess River. We’ll follow its gentle, meandering course through meadows shaded by ancient beech and willow trees, crossing the river to reach quiet trails near Sarratt.

The route continues along secluded footpaths, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valley, home to traditional estate houses, grazing cattle, and serene open fields. You’ll pass through pine forests, groves of birch and oak, and finally descend into one of Chorleywood’s most magical beech woodlands before returning to our starting point.
