Located in Tring, Hertfordshire, just outside London, our Night Navigation Workshop is designed for outdoor enthusiasts and lowland hillwalkers who want to confidently navigate at night or in low-visibility conditions.

Held on Friday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, this practical workshop gives participants hands-on experience navigating in near-total darkness. Learn how to walk on a bearing, accurately time your route, and navigate terrain with a headtorch.

Workshop Highlights:

• Most of the session takes place in complete darkness – bring a head torch with fresh batteries

• Covers walking on a bearing, timing, and route finding

• Bring snacks, water, and a flask of hot tea or coffee

• Compass required (provided if needed)

• Starts and finishes at Tring Station (no toilet facilities on site)

• Available as a group workshop or as part of a one-to-one two-day navigation course

Prerequisites:
This night navigation course is suitable for participants who have completed our one-day Navigation Workshop, a one-to-one navigation course, or already have basic map and compass experience.
