One to One Navigation Workshop - Hertfordshire

One to One Map Reading and Navigation Training with Ian Finch (single or groups)

This bespoke experience for one individual person or private group will take the art of navigation and bring it back to basics, doing away with the daunting amounts of info. This workshop is aimed at those looking for a unique navigation workshop in a friendly one to one setting with Ian Finch out in the Hertfordshire countryside. If you’re training for a hike, long distance footpath or expedition we can taylor your workshop to fit within the needs of your journey and make sure you’re prepared. We’ll also be testing the skills live as we navigate together around the rolling Hertfordshire landscapes of Ashridge on a specifically planned route. Bring a friend for only £115 for the day.

• Beginners or advanced individuals or groups welcome
• Understand the map, signs and symbols. Natural Navigation - Sun, wind and trees.
• Features of a compass, learn how to take & walk on a compass bearing
• How to understand contours, what they mean and how to use them. • How to foresee & navigate around obstacles and challenges that we encounter. Also timing & pacing to a location
